SMX® RTOS Now Available for Philips LPC21xx and LPC22xx Processors

Costa Mesa, California, October 4, 2005 - Micro Digital Inc., is pleased to announce the availability of SMX® RTOS support for the Philips LPC21xx and LPC22xx processors (LPC2138, LPC2294, etc).

These processors have been supported with the IAR Embedded Workbench®. The core of the SMX RTOS is the smx real-time multitasking kernel. smxAware™ adds capabilities to the IAR debugger to allow displaying smx kernel objects, queues, and other diagnostic information. It also includes the smx Graphical Analysis Tool which shows task, ISR, and LSR timelines, processor usage, and task stack usage. smxBSP™ provides startup code and board support functions needed by smx and provides a UART driver for these two families of processors. Other Micro Digital products will soon be available for these processors.

Two free SMX® evaluation kits may be downloaded from www.smxrtos.com/eval. The first is for the Phytec phyCORE-ARM7/LPC2294 board. The second is for the Signum EVB-LPC2138 board.

Pricing and Availability
Available now. Evaluation kits are free to qualified evaluators. Licenses for smx are $8,000. smxBSP is included. This is royalty-free, has no per-seat charges, and includes 6 months of support. smxAware is $500 per development seat.
