Micro Digital Announces smxUSB 2.0 Stacks for Synopsys USB Controllers
Costa Mesa, California, August 19, 2009 -- Micro Digital announces the port of Micro Digital’s smxUSB 2.0 stacks to the Synopsys DesignWare® USB 2.0 OTG host and device controllers. This makes available to Synopsys’customers the full arsenal of Micro Digital USB products, which include, on the device side: audio, composite, Ethernet over USB (RNDIS), mass storage, mouse, serial, and multiport serial; on the host side: audio, CDC ACM (modem), HID, Hub, mass storage, printer, RFID, serial, USB to Ethernet, USB to serial, and WiFi with WEP and WPA. These products interface with Micro Digital file system, networking products, and RTOS.
Micro Digital’s smxUSB products provide clean, simple implementations of USB stacks and drivers that are intended for embedded systems. Adding Synopsys controller drivers extends smxUSB support to Synopsys USB DesignWare customers who are developing SoC- and FPGA-based products, as well as processor-based products that use Synopsys controllers. Micro Digital has been in the USB software business for several years and offers considerable expertise in helping customers to attain their USB objectives. Generally, Micro Digital is able to offer out-of-the-box solutions that run immediately on evaluation boards for specific processors.
