SMX® Now Available for the Freescale DragonBall MX1/MXL Processors
Costa Mesa, California, January 3, 2005 - Micro Digital Inc. is pleased to announce the availability of SMX® support for the Freescale Dragonball MX1 and MXL processors.
The SMX® evaluation kit for the M9328MX1ADS / M9328MXLADS board includes smx, PEG, smxAware, and smxBSP. The kit operates with Metrowerks CodeWarrior® ARM V2.1. smx demonstrates multitasking. PEG demonstrates graphical user interface using the on-chip LCD controller with the 1/4 VGA LCD provided with the board. smxAware adds capabilities to the CodeWarrior debugger to allow displaying smx kernel objects, queues, and other diagnostic information. It also includes the smx Graphical Analysis Tools which shows task, isr, and lsr timelines, processor usage, and task stack usage. smxBSP provides board support functions needed by smx and provides a UART driver.
A free SMX® evaluation kit may be downloaded from www.smxrtos.com/eval. With this addition, Micro Digital now has SMX evaluation kits for Freescale's latest ARM processors.
Pricing and Availability
Available now. Eval kits are free to qualified evaluators. Licenses for smx are $8000. Prices are royalty-free, have no per-seat charges, and include 6 months of support.
