SMX® RTOS Now Available for STMicro STR71x
Costa Mesa, California, October 14, 2005 - Micro Digital Inc., announces the immediate availability of SMX® RTOS support for the ST Micro STR71x processors (STR710, STR711, STR712, STR715).
Micro Digital is supporting the STR71x processors with the IAR Embedded Workbench®. The core of the SMX RTOS is the smx real-time multitasking kernel. With the release is smxAware™ that extends the IAR debugger to display smx kernel objects, queues, and other diagnostic information. Also included is smx Graphical Analysis Tool that displays task, ISR, and LSR timelines, processor usage, and task stack usage. The smxBSP™ for the STR71x processor family provides startup code and board support functions for smx and provides a UART driver for this family of processors. Other Micro Digital products will soon be available for these processors.
A SMX® evaluation kit may be downloaded from www.smxrtos.com/eval. Look for the STR710-EVAL board from STMicro.
Pricing and Availability
Evaluation kits are available now for qualified evaluators. smx, including smxBSP is licensed on a per product basis without royalties, and no per developer charge. smxAware for the IAR Embedded Workbench is sold per development seat.
